Good People Day: China Jones

Good People Day is a meme well worth spreading. I encourage you to also share a story about someone you know.
I’ve been a fan of Gary Vaynerchuk’s “unpretentious, gonzo approach” for some time now, and I’m excited to answer his call to action here.
I’m also going to follow Gary’s lead and think really close to home on this one. There are a lot of reasons to call someone a “good person.” Here is someone who has had a huge positive impact on me.
My daughter, China, is in her freshman year of art school this year. She’s talented, beautiful, and works hard, but here’s what really makes her my ‘Good People’ pick:
- She’s true to herself, regardless of what other people think.
- She understands the value of people and has compassion.
- She is loyal to her friends, and chooses them well.
- She continues to do her best, even when things aren’t going well.
- To her, success means everyone getting there together.
Most (if not all) of my friends have these qualities. Somehow, it resonates more when it’s coming from your own children. At least it has for me.
China, I love you. Thanks for setting a great example.
